Let's Play Tourist: Ivars

If Bart and I happen to be in Seattle we always make a point to go down to the piers.
These are the piers where the ferries leave to go to the Puget Sound Islands (Bainbridge etc.)
We've been a few times when visiting, but not since moving here.
This is what the ferry looks like if you want to drive your car around the islands.
Its fun to watch the ferries come and go, along with other ships,
but the real reason we come down to the pier is this.
Best clam chowder I've ever had.  And no its not the same in the franchised ones in a mall, or the packages you buy from Costco or a grocery store.  It has to be the pier.  The fish & chips, the prawns and the clam chowder.  Trust us.  If you're ever going to be near the piers in Seattle make sure you go.
And make sure you get french fries with your food.  Why?  Because of these guys.

The food is the number one reason to go to Ivars, but a close second is to sit at the outside tables on the pier, watch the ferries and other boats come and go, and throw french fries to the seagulls.  Trained animals have nothing on these seagulls.  They could catch anything you throw at them.
They also probably have the highest cholesterol of any bird on the planet.
